Lottery Dollars Support Oregon Students

Oregonians place a high value on the quality of life here in the Pacific Northwest. Investing in education plays a vital role in preserving that quality, which is why in 1995 Oregonians passed a constitutional amendment directing Lottery profits to help fund public education.

Whether you play Lottery games for the excitement of a big win or because you want to support your community, your choice to play does good things. From Kindergarten to Oregon’s public universities, Lottery dollars help support schools, teachers and students across Oregon.

Each year, 53 percent of Lottery profits are allocated to school districts across the state to help with needed school projects and infrastructure, as well higher education academic scholarships and intercollegiate athletics. Thanks to you, students have access to more textbooks, computers, scholarships, and other essential services.
